Netflix Original: We Are The Wave

We Are The Wave (German: Wir Sind Die Welle) is a coming-of-age drama loosely based on the 1981 novel The Wave by Todd Strasser. We learn the story of a group of idealistic teens in a revolt against a rising tide of nationalistic fervor. An overall sense of new-wave and technology-fueled anarchy needed to be infused into the visuals and marketing materials. The group’s iconic spray-painted Wave emblem is incorporated into the show’s logo.
