The Story

Based on a best-selling novel, Netflix created Quicksand, a 6 episode series taking place in Sweden. After a tragedy at a Stockholm prep school, high school student Maja finds herself on trial for murder.

The Challenge

The key visuals and logo developed for Quicksand had to communicate a complex story arc centered around identity, responsibility, and uncovering truth in each episode. American, Swedish, and general markets all had to be considered in the success of the images.

The Result

A logo was created in collaboration with Netflix, as well as the Key Art that would promote the show via posters, social media, and advertising. Marketing materials were customized for each individual market to ensure the show’s success among different cultural audiences. Quicksand is Netflix’s first Swedish original, making its world premier at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019.
